Massimiliano is Associate Professor of Business Economics and Management at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Director of the BLISS Digital Impact Lab, and Coordinator of the MSc in Innovation and Management of Culture and Creativity. He holds a PhD in Economics of Communication and an MA in Arts Management from City University London. His research focuses on cultural and creative industries, cultural policy, creative clusters, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and creativity, and the role of culture in place-based development. His work examines cultural ecosystems, digital innovation, creative labour, and the social and economic impacts of culture. Key publications include Creative Clusters and Creative Multipliers: Evidence from UK Cities (Economic Geography, 2023), Mapping Digital Skills in Cultural and Creative Industries in Italy (Springer, 2023), and Data-driven Arts and Cultural Organizations: Opportunity or Chimera? (European Planning Studies, 2022).
