Adjunct Professor at Roma Tre and Tor Vergata universities
Annalisa Cicerchia is a cultural economist specialising in the measurement and evaluation of culture’s economic, social and wellbeing impacts. She spent over three decades in public research institutions, including 15 years as Senior Researcher at Istat, the Italian National Institute of Statistics, where she led work on culture statistics, museums, cultural employment and participation, and pioneered research on “cultural welfare”. Her English-language publications include articles in Social Indicators Research, Springer, and Scires.it, as well as “Indicators for local policies of cultural welfare” (City, Territory and Architecture), the book Culture Driven, and “Art, Culture, and the Mental Health of Young People” (Economia della Cultura). She directs research at the Cultural Welfare Center, leading international projects including ClowNexus (Creative Europe) and the European Culture and Health Hub (Horizon). An Adjunct Professor at Roma Tre and Tor Vergata universities, she has advised the European Commission, Eurostat and OECD, and served on EU advisory boards.
