Candace Jones is Chair of Global Creative Enterprise at the University of Edinburgh Business School. She received her Ph.D. from the University of. She examines creative industries as institutions, social networks, places, and their discourse. She is currently Associate Editor at Academy of Management Discoveries, was the Chair of the Organization and Management Theory (OMT) Division from 2011-2016, and Representative at Large OMT from 2007-2009 OMT, Academy of Management. She was awarded best reviewer award for Academy of Management Review in 2016 and 2018. Her edited volumes include: Oxford Handbook of Creative Industries (2015), Frontiers of Creative Industries (2018), Transformation in Creative Industries (2005), and numerous special issues. She was a member of Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre and Creative Informatics funded by the AHRC. She works with Historic Environment Scotland, Edinburgh International Festival and Festivals Edinburgh. She developed the Interdisciplinary Edinburgh Futures Institute MSc on creative industries.
