Professor of Social Data Science and Deputy Director for CREATE
Kristofer Erickson is Professor of Social Data Science and Deputy Director of CREATe at the University of Glasgow (Supported by AHRC Infrastructure funding from 2024-2028). Kristofer’s research is focused on empirical investigation of intellectual property and innovative communities. Previously, Kristofer has studied the value of open licensed imagery on Wikimedia Commons, practices of inbound open innovation in crowdfunding on Kickstarter, and the effects of technological protection measures for video game preservation. His current research is focused on the effects of generative AI in creative firms. Kristofer is Academic Editor for Internet Policy Review, the open journal of internet regulation in Europe, and founding Editor of the Copyright Evidence Wiki, an open repository of economic evidence on the effects of copyright.
