Stuart Allan is Professor of Journalism and Communication in the School of Journalism, Media and Culture at Cardiff University. He recently completed a 5-year term as Head of School and has been the project lead of the ‘Arts, Culture and Public Service Broadcasting’ workstrand for the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre. Currently, his research topics include the evolving nature of public service broadcasting, with a particular interest in debates about public value and impartiality. He has led and contributed to a range of research projects over the years, including grants awarded by the UK and international research councils.
