Audrey Wong

Programme Leader, MA Arts and Cultural Leadership programme at LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts Singapore


Audrey Wong is an academic, civil society advocate and the first Nominated Member of Parliament for the Arts in Singapore. She holds an MA in English from the National University of Singapore and an MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy from Goldsmiths, University of London. She is currently Programme Leader of the MA Arts and Cultural Leadership programme at LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts Singapore. She was formerly Artistic Co-director of seminal art space The Substation and served on institutional boards including the National Arts Council and the Steering Committee of the Arts and Culture Strategic Review (2010-2012). Her research interests include arts advocacy, creative labour, the management of Southeast Asian arts organisations, and Singapore’s cultural policy. Publications include co-authorship of Backstage: Managing Culture and Creativity in Southeast Asia for UNESCO Bangkok (2021) and a chapter in the Routledge Companion to Arts Management (2020).
