Ruoxi Wang

SNAAP Research Fellow and Visiting Researcher at the University of Sheffield


Ruoxi Wang is a cultural economist specialising in the economics of arts and culture, cultural policy and creative industries. She is a 2026 SNAAP Research Fellow with the Strategic National Arts Alumni Project and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Sheffield. She received her PhD in Economics from Macquarie University. Her current research interests include creative labour markets and inequality, higher education in the creative sector, cultural policy, and the relationship between cultural participation and well-being. She previously held a postdoctoral position at the University of Sheffield and co-authored the Creative PEC State of the Nations report series on Arts, Culture and Heritage.
