Join us for the launch of our latest State of the Nations report, which analyses services trade exports by UK creative exporters and the restrictions that these exporters face internationally when exporting to destination countries.
Increasing exports is one of the central aims of the Creative Industries Sector Plan, part of the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy, and in order to achieve this aim, the Sector Plan seeks to strengthen the UK’s trading relationships with its current major trading partners (primary markets) as well as to build and grow relationships with fast growing economies (future-growth markets). Achieving this objective requires tackling the key international barriers faced by UK creative businesses in accessing these markets, especially for creative services, which in 2023 accounted for 13% of total UK services exports.
The report co-authors will present the findings of the report, followed by a panel discussion with time for an audience Q&A.
