Rita Nana Cheraa

Research Fellow at the Enterprise Research Centre, Warwick Business School


Dr Rita Nana-Cheraa is a Research Fellow at the Enterprise Research Centre, Warwick Business School. She holds a PhD in Business and Management from Warwick Business School, focused on skills, organisational capital, knowledge diffusion, and innovation policy, an MSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Nottingham, and a BSc in Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Her research spans innovation performance, innovation policy evaluation, strategic human resource management, firm growth, and small business dynamics, with particular interest in sectoral dynamics and the creative industries. She works extensively with large-scale business datasets to generate evidence that informs policy and practice. Recent publications include Late Payment: International Comparative Legal & Regulatory Framework (2026); Predicting Business Growth (2026); What Can We Learn About the Innovation Performance of the Creative Industries from the UK Innovation Survey? (2025); and Understanding Sectoral Absorptive Capacity in the UK (2023).
