Rafael Boix-Domènech is Professor at the Department of Economic Structure of the University of Valencia and member of the Economics of Culture Research Unit ECONCULT. His research lies at the intersection of regional economics with creativity and innovation studies, combining regional science, spatial analysis and data science to investigate the dynamics of place well-being and prosperity. His main current research interest is the geography of creative industries and their effects on well-being, productivity, and innovation. His research has been published in international journals and edited research volumes. He has been deeply engaged in applied research and policy design for numerous national and international organizations. Rafael is Editor-in-Chief of Investigaciones Regionales – Journal of Regional Research.
