Alejandro is a Research Associate in the research unit Creative PEC based at Newcastle University. His work at Creative PEC focuses on the economic analysis of the Creative Industries. Alejandro has published papers on the analysis of the labour market and the financial sector. Additionally, his research interest covers topics such as the evaluation of public policy, productivity analysis and applied econometrics.
Alejandro holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Durham University and a Master in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Before joining Creative PEC and Newcastle University, Alejandro worked as an economist for the sectors of consultancy in the U.K. and the public administration in Mexico.
