Diversity and Inclusion

Introduction

Academic research and high-profile campaigns have established that the creative industries have e serious institutional and workforce problems. There are considerable barriers to enter the sector and strong biases towards specific demographic groups. They are, therefore, neither inclusive nor diverse.

Creative PEC research has examined some of the structural inequalities in the creative industries and how we should be addressing them, with a particular focus on class and socioeconomic inequality. Our aim is to continue to produce new research on this topic, industry and policymakers in these new studies and to produce practical guidance and propose system-wide policy solutions.
