Stacey Arnold - Creative PEC

Freelance Policy and Public Affairs Adviser

Stacey Arnold is a freelance policy and public affairs adviser working across the creative and cultural sectors. Since going freelance in 2023, Stacey has had the opportunity to champion change for clients including the RSA (Royal Society of Arts), the Society of London Theatre/UK Theatre and the Contemporary Visual Arts Network (CVAN) England. A passionate advocate for creativity, Stacey recently supported the development of the RSA ‘Creative Corridors’ programme and produced an in-depth paper on interventions to support and grow affordable artists’ studio space.

In her previous role at Creative UK, Stacey worked with members to influence policymakers and decision-makers on a range of issues – from boosting creative education and growing support for freelancers to optimising creative tax reliefs and championing IP protections in the age of AI. An unashamed generalist, Stacey’s two decades of advocacy, communications and external affairs experience also stem from work with organisations as diverse as the BBC, Tate Liverpool, Arts Council England and the Museums Association.

Stacey is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and holds an NCVO Certificate in Campaigning and a Masters in Creative and Media Enterprises. In 2025, Stacey will join the board of the People’s Property Portfolio – a Community Benefit Society looking to secure a cluster of buildings through community ownership that will be used to support social enterprise and cultural activity – starting in Bradford.
