Associate researcher, University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne
Researcher and consultant in policy and data analysis for the cultural and creative sectors (CCS), holding a PhD in geography from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She currently advises UNESCO for the implementation of the Culture | 2030 Indicators as well as various regional and national governments across Europe. Valentina worked at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre as project lead of the ‘Cultural and Creative Cities Monitor’. Prior to this, she was researcher and project manager at the Brussels-based company KEA. Her research interests and publications are in quantitative methods for measuring culture, creative city policies, and skills needs for CCS. All her work centres on deriving policy insights from research.
