Bruce Tether has a general interest in creativity and the creative industries, and is especially interested in design, and design based industries. Bruce is currently doing a Creative PEC/IPO funded study on the effectiveness of design protections to encourage design originators in the UK. Design aside he is also interested in the geography of the creative industries, having originally studied geography as an undergraduate. Bruce is currently a professor of innovation management in Manchester, and was previously professor of design and innovation at Imperial – both in business schools.
