Director, Hildrey Studio
Chris Hildrey is the director of Hildrey Studio and the founder of ProxyAddress, a social enterprise providing those facing homelessness with stable address details to access critical services. His work has been named one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2021, the Guardian’s Best Designs of 2022, and Beazley Designs of the Year 2019. He has been awarded the RIBA President’s Medal for Research, the D&AD Award for Humanitarian Aid, the Innovation in Politics Award for Human Rights, and the Geospatial Innovation Award for Protection of Life. He has spoken on television, in Parliament, and at the Guggenheim New York, about the role of design in creating social impact. His work sits in the permanent collections of the V&A Museum and Design Museum, London.
