Lecturer in Culture, Media and Creative Industries at King’s College London
Salvatore is an applied economist, with a background in industrial and public economics. He is a Lecturer in Culture, Media and Creative Industries at King’s College London.
Prior to joining King’s, he hold a postdoctoral position at Newcastle University Business School, as part of the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (PEC). His research on the creative and cultural sector has focused on internationalisation, access to finance and innovation in the creative industries, as well as investigating cultural consumption during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is currently investigating the role of funding to the arts & culture, with a focus on the socioeconomic implications and sectoral developments. He is also interested in the political economy aspects associated with culture and creativity. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
