Professor Sara Pepper OBE

Co-Director of the Centre for the Creative Economy at Cardiff University

Professor Sara Pepper OBE is an award winning and professionally respected creative and cultural industries leader with extensive strategic development and transformational change experience and a proven track record of leading and delivering high value, recognised programmes and projects at scale.

She is currently co-director of the Centre for the Creative Economy at Cardiff University. Her role is to provide leadership and strategic direction for all Centre activities. This includes creative city network Creative Cardiff and Media Cymru (a £50 million UKRI Strength in Places funded innovation programme). She also leads the international strategy and GLOBAL work programme of activity for Media Cymru.

Sara has held a variety of governance roles with creative organisations including Nofit State Circus, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and National Trust Wales. She works with a wide variety of stakeholders including academic, industry and government partners and is keen to find ways for them to coalesce to better understand, support and enable the creative economy. She is passionate about championing & developing creative talent and ideas and brokering partnerships that enable people, organisations and places to realise their full creative and commercial potential.
