Dr Tasos Kitsos is an economist specialising in regional research with interests on regional resilience; the creative and digital economy; entrepreneurship as well as fiscal devolution and the spatial distribution of government grants. He has extensive, in-depth knowledge of data in the UK. Currently, he is a Research Fellow at City-REDI, University of Birmingham. He holds a PhD in Economics from Plymouth University, an MSc in Regional and Urban Planning Studies from LSE and a BSc in Economics from the University of Macedonia. He has won several grants for his research and worked in numerous research projects whilst he held positions in the private and public sector including research assistant and Associate Lecturer positions in various universities.
