Creative Employer Skills Survey
Launched in March 2025, the Creative Employer Skills Survey is a new survey of 1,300 businesses across the creative industries in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The survey provides an opportunity to have an industry-wide conversation on the skills challenges of today and the talent and skills that will be critical to the success of the creative industries in future.
State of the Nations
The Creative PEC’s ‘State of the Nations’ report series uses the latest data to inform policymakers, industry and researchers on economic developments in the Creative Industries in four key areas; R&D, Innovation and Clusters; Internationalisation; the Arts, Culture and Heritage Sectors, and Education, Skills and Talent.
Consortium
Our research consortium, which provides regular quantitative data reporting in the form of the State of the Nations series, is made up of colleagues from Sussex University, Sheffield University, Work Advance, and Newcastle University.
The Creative PEC is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). The Creative PEC has been awarded funding by the AHRC for an additional five years, and is joint hosted by the University of Newcastle, alongside the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
