Creative Business Panel

The Creative Business Panel (CBP) is a 5-wave longitudinal study to track the behaviours, performance and experiences of businesses across all creative sub-sectors, business sizes and UK geographies. It is led by the Creative PEC and CoSTAR Foresight Lab in partnership with the Department for Business and Trade and supported by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

Creative Employer Skills Survey

Launched in March 2025, the Creative Employer Skills Survey is a new survey of 1,300 businesses across the creative industries in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The survey provides an opportunity to have an industry-wide conversation on the skills challenges of today and the talent and skills that will be critical to the success of the creative industries in future.

State of the Nations

The Creative PEC’s ‘State of the Nations’ report series uses the latest data to inform policymakers, industry and researchers on economic developments in the Creative Industries in four key areas; R&D, Innovation and Clusters; Internationalisation; the Arts, Culture and Heritage Sectors, and Education, Skills and Talent.

The Creative PEC is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). The Creative PEC has been awarded funding by the AHRC for an additional five years, and is joint hosted by the University of Newcastle, alongside the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
