Finance and Administration Manager

Duncan is Creative PEC’s Finance and Administration Manager. Although studying Biology at University, Duncan’s background is in Local Government and the charity sector. Having spent almost ten years as a Registrar, marrying hundreds of people and registering numerous Births and Deaths, in 2016, having reconsidered his long-term career options, he took the step into the charity sector.

An opportunity to work for the Peter Jones Foundation as a programme manager became available running their national competition. He occupied this role for two years working with hundreds of schools and thousands of students nationwide providing £100k a year in seed funding for them to start small enterprises.

He then moved into an operations role, as the foundation grew, improving the foundation’s processes and using his ability to find efficiency. This role ended at the end of 2020 due to the impact of the pandemic.

In early 2021 Duncan began working for Citizens Advice Southwark as Operations and Administration Manager enjoying the variety of work this role afforded and the direct impact on local people. However, due to changing personal circumstances, he began to consider if he wanted to live in London long term and in March 2022 he relocated back to his hometown, in Norfolk, to be closer to friends and to spend more time with my family. Now he is taking up the opportunity to become part of Creative PEC and looks forward to getting stuck into the role.
