Policy Adviser
Nik is a Policy Adviser with the Policy Team at Creative PEC. Prior to joining the PEC, he was a Researcher with the Education Team at the RSA, leading their work on youth social action in partnership with the Pears Foundation. He also contribed to a range of other programmes encompassing future skills, community assemblies, and young peoples’ economic security.
He has previously lectured in medieval linguistics and literature at the University of Oxford and University College London, and he remains a Research Associate at the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of York. In the past he has provided independent consultancy for heritage projects, including ahead of the 2017 reopening of the Jorvik Viking Centre for the York Museums Trust.
Outside his work, Nik is a keen language learner and an occasional literary translator of old dead languages.
